It does not exempt the drunken person needing medical attention from prosecution,”
 

Recent Alcohol-Related Tragedies involving University of Pittsburgh Students

Samuel Reed, 19, September. 1, 2007, University of Pittsburgh How and why? Samuel lost his life when struck by an intoxicated hit and run driver while Samuel was crossing a parkway at 2:30 a.m.  Samuel had a blood alcohol level of about 0.08 percent, at the time he was walking across the highway.
Matthew Tembo, March 7, 2010, University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (attending a fraternity party at Carnegie Mellon University  How and why? Matthew was found dead inside a Carnegie Mellon University fraternity house after emergency crews were called to the Pi Kappa Alpha house at about 1 p.m. on a Sunday.  Police said it appears Matthew drank too much at a birthday celebration.
