SUNY-Geneseo Underage drinking risky, but inherent aspect of mainstream college culture-11/20/14 Student view---“ While technically preventable, alcohol-related deaths seem nearly impossible to prevent in practice. It is a difficult issue to address. Older generations cry of an underage drinking epidemic, but in reality underage drinking is no more an epidemic than it is the norm.”
SUNY Geneseo Was an alcohol-poisoning death avoided?-12/8/10 “An 18 year old SUNY Geneseo student may be alive today because Geneseo police officers didn’t give up asking questions after they were called to the scene of a reported alcohol overdose.”  The officers were ““given the run-around” by the young men inside. A party with about a dozen people was breaking up.”
SUNY Geneseo Recent Legal Action Against Fraternities for Drinking-Related Deaths-2010 “Three members of a banned fraternity at SUNY Geneseo were charged with hazing, unlawfully dealing with a child, and criminally negligent homicide last year for their role in organizing a night of binge drinking that resulted in a sophomore’s death from alcohol poisoning.”

Arman Partamian, February 28, 2009, SUNY Geneseo  How and why? Arman  was found dead in a bed. He was pledging a group, which police call a "drinking club."  In a two-minute telephone call to 911 , a resident assistant  said: "The Pigs were forcing these individuals to drink entire bottles of alcohol around the fire and they were, like, falling over and vomiting and just extreme, like, hazing."
