Family of suicide victim suing Mankato bar

Reported that just days after Amanda Jax died of alcohol poising at a bar,  University of Minnesota student Edward Andrew Bump killed himself after drinking excessive amounts at a bar.  Edward's parents sued the bar arguing that Edward was served alcohol even though he was a minor, and in addition was in an obviously intoxicated condition.  The complaint goes on to claim that the bar and its employees were negligent for serving alcohol to Edward when he was underage and obviously intoxicated, which led to his death.

A friend said Edward and she returned to campus around 3 p.m and started drinking. Bump was drinking wine, rum and shots of Jagermeister until about 11:30 p.m., which is when they went to the bar. They returned to her apartment between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. and continued to drink.
