Reported that Rider University freshman Justin Warfield died after he was found unresponsive at a friend's
off-campus apartment. Justin appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Justin's death comes seven months after another Rider freshman,
Gary DeVercelly Jr., died after a night of drinking at a fraternity party on the
school's main campus.

Reported on Justin Warfield death which came after he was with several friends
when, about 11:30, they went to another friend's apartment. Justin then
either passed out or fell asleep and about 5 a.m. it was discovered that
Justin wasn't breathing.

Reported on how Justin Warfield's family maintained that Justin was not a
drug user prior to attending Rider.
""Justin was a music prodigy. Justin also touched many people's lives he
came in contact with. He played and sang in more churches than anywhere. He
never drank or did drugs before this unfortunate accident," Marie Bunt, a
Lutheran minister, said of her son".

Student editorial in reaction to Justin Warfield's death, included the
following:
"Students — pay attention — here is a pop quiz. Did you know that heroin
does not have the same reaction with every individual? Did you know that the
first time you try it you could become addicted? Do you know what causes one
to become addicted to heroin? The answers to these questions are not going
to boost your grade point average but they could prevent a life or death
situation."

of pageReported that that the charges against student Kieran Hunt
were increased to add charges of two counts of possession of heroin, possession of
heroin with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of a hypodermic
syringe, possession of Adderall without a prescription, possession of under
50 grams marijuana and three counts of drug paraphernalia including an empty
glassine heroin bag.
Three other students were were also reported to be facing charges.
