Reported that Auburn University freshman Andrew Jackson Thurmond IV, died in a three-vehicle accident.  Andrew was a passenger in a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Auburn freshman Scott Leighton.

Reported that Andrew Jackson Thurmond IV had a blood-alcohol level of 0.76, but it wasn't revealed whether the driver was also drinking.

This tragedy was discussed together with other unfortunate events involving fraternities and alcohol on Auburn's campus.

Reported that  20-year-old Auburn University student and fraternity member Scott McGregor Leighton was under the influence of alcohol when Andrew Jackson Thurmond IV in an automobile accident.  Kildeer was indicted earlier this month on one count of manslaughter one count of vehicular homicide and one count of first-degree assault.
