Jeffrey lost his live while visiting friends in a fraternity at his former campus at Berkeley.  Jeffrey apparently fell from the roof of the fraternity.  He had been found alive after the fall but was only helped inside since his helpers thought he was only drunk, but not hurt.  Authorities referenced alcohol as a significant contributing factor.
