Carolina students in the house survived. Six out of the seven

The next morning Bailey was found face down on the floor, and

threw out the verdict citing the state’s charitable immunity

traces of marijuana in his system. |

Initial autopsy results showed Michael died of a lacerated
spleen likely from a "hard fall" received at a Slip 'n Slide

said.His roommate said Michael had been "very intoxicated and

Landon was killed when the .45-caliber handgun one of the was

Benjamin lost his life in an
accident near railroad tracks where he had suffered severe head
injuries. Benjamin had recently left a bar where he had cause a
disturbance which required calling the police who believe that
his alcohol level contributed to the accident. |

three hours standoff at an apartment just blocks away from Seton
Hill's campus. HE used several weapons to fire 30 to 40 shots

As his friend drove on, 23-year-old Alejandro opened a rear door
of the Ford Explorer and fell out. He struck his head on the
pavement and died later at a hospital.His friend said it was an
alcohol-fueled day, and that Solis drank far more than usual.
"He had been drinking all day," she said. "It (the alcohol) took
over."

Adrianna was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking back
to campus. Although the negligent driver was primarily

Meaghan was found over 100 miles from Dallas, where SMU is
located. “She lived one block from me in a complex of
condo-apartments that on the outside looks posh and

activities.” As expected, the deaths have raised the perennial
issues of alcohol and substance abuse on college campuses, and
whether universities are doing enough to proactively combat
binge drinking and drug use. |

Nirmam fell from the balcony of his 12th floor apartment on the
University campus. Students who were with Nirmam that night
said he had been drinking off campus. The cause of death was

Michael died early Friday after consuming alcohol at an
off-campus residence. He later returned to the Sigma Nu house,

alcohol content was higher than 0.35. A posse of sisters from
the sorority next door "kidnapped" Starks to kick off a night of

drink the most from the luge. Both boys were drinking. Lee

Morgan had temporally left a Metallica concert alone. When
denied reentry, Morgan attempted to return to campus but was not
seen again for months. After a lengthy and public search, her
body was found in a field in January. Police reported that

Patrick and four other students gained access to the College’s
utility tunnels, which carry electrical, network, and
steam-heating lines. They proceeded through the tunnel and
emerged in Goodrich Hall. The group ascended to the roof of the
building when Patrick became separated from the others and fell
from the roof. .He had a preliminary blood-alcohol content of
0.04 percent. |

Fraternity brothers found Johnny in a distressed situation and
he passed away prior to receiving aid. Smith was an uninitiated
pledge to Wabash's Delt chapter. An autopsy determined that

Kevin tumbled from his third-floor fraternity bedroom last month
and sustained fatal head injuries. An officer concluded that
MacDonald, a junior at the University of Washington, had been

climbing the ladder to his top bunk at Alpha Sigma Phi just
before 4:30 a.m. |
