  • Increased efforts to help students evaluate their personal alcohol and/or drug use.
  • Developed the Make Good Decisions campaign, a program that offers techniques to avoid problems and risks associated with misuse of alcohol
  • The UWM Police Department will expand its efforts with the Milwaukee Police Department to pursue all available criminal and civil sanctions against people believed to be selling or distributing illegal substances to students.
  • The  creation of a new course for upcoming freshmen focusing on personal safety and drug and alcohol abuse.

“Our goal at UWM continues to be to safeguard our students. The deaths of Ms. Raddatz and Mr. Murphy are reminders of how difficult this task is and how dangerous our world can be.”  From a college administration email.
