Brandon was at a party on a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks where he was taken into custody by a Missouri state trooper to test whether he was operating the boat while impaired.  Brandon drowned when he fell into the lake while handcuffed.  Tests showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.268 percent.
